Hello,

My name is Maarten Braam. Since 1980 dogs are into my life. It started with several years of training and working with securitydogs at my work, with the dogs living at home.

After that chapter I started to interest for the Golden Retriever which I have had for years and also bred with them. I was very fond of the old english, darkcoated Golden and had less interest in the snowywhite Golden that you see so often now.

In the year 2000 I saw the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever for the first time in my life and fell in love with them. In the past years I build up a very nice kennel of Tollers with lighter as well as darker coats, with less as well as more white markings in the coat and with scandinavian as well as canadian bloodlines. For every tollerfan something to choose from, certainly because I breed with a selective male dog who fits to the choosen female dog.

I breed in a responsible way according to the breeding rules of the KMSH Saint Hubert which is the leading dog-organisation in Belgium. All my tollers are, when old enough, examined at hips (HD). They also get an eye-examination every year before breeding. They also get examined, when necessary, for PRA/CEA-dna paterns by bloodsamples.

Puppies who are born at my place all grow up in my house, not in a barn or garage or something like that. When they can leave the litter they are therefore already used to vacuumcleaners, television, radio, telephone and cats, so they are very socialised when they go to their new homes.

Puppies get a treatment against worms, get a vaccination and get a chip before they leave. A good start is necessary to adulthood !

My kennel is located in Neerpelt, near Valkenswaard, at the Dutch-Belgian border. You are always welcome, after an appointment by phone or email, to visit my kennel and see my dogs and to acquaintance with the marvelous Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.
